Steel City Planer
Bought this to replace my old almost worn out Delta planer that I have had for many years. Very impressed with this planer. I am using it on old barn wood, mainly oak as hard as a rock and the planer has not bogged down once. Noticed that Highland Woodworkers were selling the carbide cutters (cost $130 for 30, need 26 to replace all) and now the planer cuts even better and smoother, often I don't even have to sand the surface. I highly recommend this for a desktop planer, just wish it had come with the carbide cutters and that they were cheaper.
